Crispy Rainbow Trout Fillet Reaches 2026 Seafood Excellence Finals

We are proud to announce that our new product, Crispy Rainbow Trout Fillet, has been selected as a finalist in the HoReCa category at the Seafood Excellence Global 2026 competition in Barcelona. Only eight candidates made it to the finals, so being chosen as a finalist is a great honor for us.

This recognition is especially meaningful as we continue the successful path set by our rainbow trout bacon, which won the same competition in 2025. Internationally, it also earned the title of the world’s best fish product in the HoReCa category – the first time a Finnish food product has achieved this in a global competition.

For us, innovation means making fish easier and more appealing to enjoy – for both HoReCa customers and consumers.

Seafood Expo Global 2026 will bring together seafood professionals from around the world in Barcelona from April 21–23. The event is held at Fira Barcelona Gran Via and is expected to host over 2,000 exhibitors from 89 countries and more than 29,000 industry professionals. Kalaneuvos will participate, representing Finnish expertise in fish processing. You can find us at the Finnish Pavilion (Hall 2, Stand A401), where we will showcase our product range and offer tasting samples.
