Traditional Finnish trout roe has a tender and soft taste. You can enjoy trout roe on blinis or toast, with a spoon of creme fraiche and a hint of lime and onion.
Small pack is convenient for restaurants and catering to be used on decorating and not wasting opened jars.
Trout roe comes from Rainbow Trout (Latin: the Oncorhynchus Mykiss) fish species farmed in Finland. Trout roe are smaller in size than salmon roe and have a crunchy texture. This implies that the roe has reached a sufficient stage of maturity.
Trout roe is highly valued by food enthusiasts for its exceptional taste and texture, while also being a healthy option due to its low calorie count. Trout roe are high in protein and rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals.
We are one of the EU’s largest supplier of rainbow trout roe which is also know as Red Caviar. We use only the best Finnish rainbow trout roe which we carefully farm and harvest over almost three years growing process. The whole life cycle of trout is in our control.
We handle trout growth and production from fish egg to smolt stages and from adult fish to harvest and processing till the product is ready to be eaten.
Shelf life: 5 months. Storage below +6˚C and after opening, keeps in the fridge for up to 7 days.
